Taking God's Name In Vain Is A Sin,
Getting Paid To Do It Is EVIL!!!

“Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.” —Deuteronomy 5:11
I grew up on the Northside of Chicago, and our baseball team was the Chicago Cubs. Harry Caray (1914-1998) was a famous radio and TV broadcaster for the Chicago Cubs baseball team for many years. Mr. Caray was renowned for his exuberant saying, “Holy Cow!” Although such casual misuse of the Biblical term “holy” may not seem disrespectful to many people, it most certainly is to God. We ought never make light of the holy things of God. To curse in the Lord's name identifies one's self with the wicked world and Satan.
Such misuse of the word “holy” was also featured in the script of the 1970's Batman series, with Robin continually making such exclamations as: “Holy %$#@* Batman!” Never in the history of America have so many people misused and abused spiritual terms, and taking God's name in vain, as they do today. Any mention of the word “holy” should only be reserved for that which is Biblically holy; such as, the Holy Spirit or the Holy Bible. It is evil to call a cow “holy,” or God forbid, calling dung “holy,” which is popular in Hollywood films (i.e., “holy sh*t”). It couldn't be more obvious that such a wicked term originated with God-haters!
It is more than coincidental that even your Atheists curse in God's name, especially when they get angry. If you don't believe the Bible for the Bible's sake, then believe it for the self-incriminating nature of man. At the climax of pain, anger, joy, or pleasure... God's name is often taken in vain by the sinful world. A common expression heard today is... "Oh my God!" This is sinful when used is passive speech. The name of God is holy and we should be careful to show great respect. We read in Isaiah 57:15... "For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones."
Yet, MILLIONS of Americans curse in God's name every day! Deuteronomy 5:11 declares them GUILTY in God's eyes. When God says you're guilty, it's not a good thing! King David knew well of God's hot-temper... Psalm 6:1, "O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure." Also in Psalm 38:1, "O LORD, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure." 2nd Corinthians 5:11 states, "Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men..." Psalm 7:11, "God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day." Do not be deceived, your day of reckoning is soon coming if you think it's a light thing to take God's name in vain! It is wicked sin!
Have you noticed how the Devil is twisting things around nowadays? I hear young people referring to good things as being "wicked." Good tasting foods are often called "sinfully delicious." Folks, sin is not a joking matter to God. Increasingly, TV commercials tease about homosexuality, adultery, and many other evils condemned in the Scriptures. Prime Time television programming is sexually perverted. Don't think for a moment that this is all coincidental. Satan is working relentlessly to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10). 1st Peter 5:8 warns, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour."
Repeatedly, over and over again, God's name is cursed and taken in vain in the 2004 Hollywood film, “THE AVIATOR,” starring Leonardo DiCaprio. They have no fear nor reverence for the Lord God. In the Jim Cameron blockbuster film, “THE ABYSS,” God's name is taken in vain no less than 50 times. The name of Jesus is blasphemed. Jesus' middle name is not F***ing Christ!
Jesus warned Peter that the Devil desired to sift (i.e., beat) him like stalks of wheat (Luke 22:31). Oh! Listen friend, it is a horrible sin, and blasphemy against God, to take God's name in vain. Think about the things people utter out of their sinful mouths... "Jesus fu%#*ng Christ!"... "Holy sh@$!"... and so forth. It is unthinkable! No one should ever sacrilegiously mention Biblical terms, or the name of God. The fastest way to identify yourself with the Devil's crowd is to take God's name in vain, which is exactly why so many God-haters do it. God is a Holy God... "Be ye holy; for I am holy" (1st Peter 1:16).
Sin Verses Evil
Doing wrong is sin. The premeditated doing of wrong is evil. For example: To curse in the Lord's name when you hit your thumb with a hammer is a sin. However, to intentionally take the name of the Lord in vain as part of a movie script is evil, because you planned to sin. Spontaneous adultery is a sin, and all sin is very horrible in God's eyes; but planning to commit adultery is even worse, it is EVIL. This is why planned gossip is worse than spontaneous adultery. Planned gossip is EVIL!!! It was our sins that nailed Jesus to the cross; therefore, we ought never make light of them.
I was thinking this week about Revelation 1:7, “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.” I pondered about the soldiers who nailed Jesus to the cross, and then I realize that in a way WE ALL pierced the Lord's hands. It was MY SINS and YOUR SINS that nailed Jesus to the cross. Particularly, the Jews crucified their king. I think that Revelation 1:7 refers to the Jews when it mentions “they also which pierced him,” and not the few Romans soldiers who pounded the nails into his hands and feet. Matthew 27:24-25, “When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it. Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.” Although they didn't pick up the hammer and pound the actual nails, it was the Jews who vicariously pierced the Lord's hands and feet. What they did was evil.
It is Hollywood today, which is predominantly Jewish, who blaspheme the name of Jesus and take the Lord's name in vain continually. If we could rid America of Hollywood, it would change our nation for the better overnight. It is not a coincidence that every major Hollywood movie produced today blasphemes the Lord, because Satan is the boss of Hollywood. This is nothing new. Since it's beginning, adultery, homosexuality, blasphemy, nudity and occultism have dominated Hollywood. Tragically, Hollywood movies have largely shaped our American culture, so that many people curse in the Lord's name regularly. To do so is sinful.
I believe that God recognizes extenuating circumstances, that is, circumstances that lessen the severity of a crime committed. For example: stealing is wrong, but if a poor man steals a loaf of bread to eat, that is very different than if a wealthy man steals a widow's home because he is a greedy scoundrel. Stealing food to survive is still wrong, but it is not nearly as wrong as selfish greed and defrauding others. Jesus confirms this doctrine in John 19:11, “Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.” Although Pilate pronounced judgment upon the Lord, it was the hateful Jews who forced Pilate into that situation. Although Pilate didn't want to convict Jesus, he succumbed to political pressure from the evil Pharisees. The Lord said that the Jews have the greater condemnation. It is sinful enough to take the Lord's name in vain, but it is so much worse when people get paid to do it on film.
Many people only take the Lord's name in vain when they become angry, sad, scared or frustrated, and that is a horrible sin. But many wicked people continually curse in the Lord's name in casual conversation. There's nothing more frustrating to a Christian in the secular workplace, than to be continually subjected to wicked men cursing in the Lord's name. Interestingly, it is mostly men who curse in the Lord's name, cursing their Creator! Although it is an awful sin to curse in the Lord's name, it is infinitely worse when someone does it casually, just because they can, trying to impress their worldly peers in the lunchroom at work, and doing it for money in an ungodly Hollywood movie script.
I can't think of anything more evil than deliberately cursing in the Lord's name for a paycheck! I don't understand a Hollywood actor who intentionally curses repeatedly in God's name for money, knowing that millions of people for decades to come (if the Lord tarries His return) will hear them cursing again and again. Hollywood actor Sigourney Weaver makes her first appearance in Jim Cameron's blockbuster film, Avatar, by boldly cursing in the Lord's holy name. It is evil! God's last name is not DAMN!
Hollywood: A Modern Sodom And Gomorrah
Not only do Americans curse in God's name, but they love to hear it in their movies as well. In the Hollywood movie First Blood, with Sylvester Stallone, actor Brian Denny (who plays the Police Chief) curses in God's holy name repeatedly, over and over. This is evil. Deuteronomy 5:11 warns... "Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain." Everywhere we turn in America today, we hear people using God's precious name in vain. Do these people not realize that God's last name is not DAMN!
It is a horrible sin to use God's name in vain, and that doesn't just apply to cursing either. It is common for TV's late night shows to mock and make sport of spiritual matters. Conan O'Brien's show blasphemes the Lord Jesus Christ. They are using God's name in vain. This is a woeful evil in America. We have sinned against God and flaunted our sins in His face, even naming one of our most vile and wicked cities--SIN CITY! People are so used to hearing God and the Bible blasphemed that they have become desensitized to it. In Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Harrison Ford (i.e., Han Solo) make the statement... "Then I'll set you in Hell." It is disturbing to hear such Hollywood actors admit that they're going to Hell. Of course, Harrison Ford has cursed in God's name repeatedly in most of his movies. Taking God's name in vain is the insignia of Hollywood movies.
It is not a coincidence that nearly every Hollywood movie produced today contains the name of “Jesus,” used irreverently as a curse word. From their own words in behind-the-scenes movie documentaries, Hollywood producers such as Ridley Scott and Paul Anderson readily admit that they incorporate occultism, sex-perversion and satanism into their films. Ridley Scott admits that a scene in his 1979 movie Alien, where a robot shoves a rolled-up magazine into Sigourney Weaver's mouth, was intended to inspire thoughts of oral sex into the viewer's mind. Ridley Scott (an Illuminati occult member himself) admits incorporating much occult symbology into his 2012 prequel to Alien, titled, Prometheus. No wonder they call it HollyWEIRD!
In Paul Anderson's 1997 blockbuster film, Event Horizon, Anderson admits bringing in a separate director, a satanist, to produce a specific graphic sex-orgy scene in the film. Real-life amputees were used for special effects scenes in which Event Horizon crew members were mutilated, and porn actors were hired to make the sex and rape scenes more realistic and graphic.[1] My point is that Hollywood's evil goes much deeper than just some sinful people who want to make money; but disturbingly, hard core satanists, homosexuals, pedophiles, occultists and pornographers run Hollywood!!!
You need to understand that there are numerous satanic agendas at work in movies today to corrupt the viewer's mind. Hollywood movies are saturated with brainwashing propaganda, to shape public opinion. The CIA even has a liaison working in Hollywood to incorporate brainwashing New World Order propaganda into the movies. Americans are some sick people, going along with the insanity in Washington DC. If Hillary Clinton's brain were removed and placed in a jar in The White House, liberal Americans would still support for her. We've lost our souls in America!
Taking the Lord's name in vain shows a total disregard for God and His Word. You show me someone who takes the Lord's name in vain, and I'll show you someone who can easily be compromised. Little things are important to God. Using the Lord's name in a meaningless, disrespectful or humorous way is sinful. We ought never joke using the holy name of God the Father, nor His Son, nor the Holy Spirit. The Godhead is holy, and it is a sin to show a lack of reverence. Wicked people don't care, making light of the things of God. As a born-again Christian, the name of Jesus is precious to me (1st Peter 2:7), and it should be to you also. May we always take great care to reverence God the Father and His only begotten Son. Don't be like the ungodly world, who think it is proper and normal to blaspheme the name of Jesus and curse the Father. Blessed be the name of the Lord!!!
